National Photographic Portrait Prize 2025 Finalist
‘Kalkadunga man William Barton is renowned worldwide as a yidaki (didgeridoo) player, composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. He has worked with orchestras, string quartets and classical ensembles internationally, infusing classical traditions with his musicality and Kalkadunga culture.’
Neil Bennett is an artist based on Gadigal land/Sydney who has worked in visual storytelling for over three decades and has a passion for portrait photography.
The People’s Choice Award is generously supported by the Calvert-Jones Foundation, with the artist who wins the most votes receiving $10,000.

The NPPP is an annual prize for Australian photographers. The year’s most outstanding photographic portrait is awarded a $30,000 cash prize and photographic equipment valued at $20,000 courtesy of our Imaging Partner, Canon Australia.
