Images: The Dissecting Room

Thirty years ago none wished to look at the body of a murderer. Now the desire for knowledge induces many to overcome their prejudices and not only look at the dead body, but to hunt it out in the dissection room, and to examine all the bumps on the head, and compare the resemblance to the penny woodcuts.
