Stuart O'Grady (b. 1973) a European-based Australian professional cyclist. Stuart O'Grady, an Olympic gold medallist on the track, is regarded as one of the peloton's most aggressive and experienced hardmen. A breakaway expert, O'Grady won stages in the 1998 and 2004 Tours de France and wore yellow in 1998 and 2001. In 2007 he became the first Australian to win a European one day classic when he took out the race nicknamed 'The Hell of the North', the 260-kilometre Paris to Roubaix. O'Grady is an active promoter of the sport in Australia setting up and sponsoring an Australian junior cycling development team.
