Peter Nicholson (b. 1950), poet and author, grew up in Sydney. He published his first volume of poetry and narrative, A Temporary Grace, in 1991. Several more collections of poetry and prose followed, including Such Sweet Thunder and A Dwelling Place (1997). Between 2005 and 2008 he wrote a column about poetry and culture for the blog 3 Quarks Daily, and in 2011 published the novella Hammerhead. His New & Selected Poems was published in 2012.
