Samantha Nimunburr Wyborn is a Bardi and Yawuru woman, artist and jeweller. Wyborn's Aboriginal name is Nimunburr, which means Flying Fox in Yawuru language. Born in Alice Springs, she grew up in Queensland before the family moved to Broome. Wyborn was the first Aboriginal woman to do a jeweller's apprenticeship, at Linneys Jewellery in Broome. She is now an artist who reproduces her designs on textiles and merchandise through her company Nimunburr Creations Aboriginal Art. In 2016 she was the winner of the Shinju Matsuri Art Award for photography.
