Norman McBeath, Edinburgh-based photographer and printmaker, has fifty portraits in the National Portrait Galleries of London and Edinburgh. He has exhibited extensively in the UK and overseas, including Beyond Beirut an exhibition commissioned by the British Council which toured the Middle East and North Africa. His recent work has been shown at the Leica Gallery in New York, The National Portrait Gallery in London, the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh and the Royal Academy of Arts in London. A number of award-winning writers have produced original work in support of his photographs including Jeanette Winterson (Oxford at Night, 2006), A. L. Kennedy (Evidence, 2006) and Janice Galloway (City Stories, 2009). Plan B, a collaboration with Paul Muldoon, Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and former Professor of Poetry at Oxford University was published in 2009.
