Jean Baptiste Guth

1855 – 1921

French artist Jean Baptiste Guth was a regular contributor of portraits to Vanity Fair during the late 1880s and throughout the 1890s. Among the sitters he drew for the magazine were Czar Nicholas II, French prime minister Charles Louis de Saulces de Freycinet, and engineer and architect Gustave Eiffel.
