The Goodall boys, 2021

Tamara Dean

Living Memory Finalist

One thing that this last year has reminded me is that I don't have to travel far to find beauty in my environment, and inspiration to create photographs. It is there in my home, when I walk out on our property, and within the people and places I am surrounded by. As a return to my early Friends series, I have spent this time focusing on the people close to me: my family, my friends and their children. This photograph depicts the three Goodall brothers living beautifully close to the land, running barefoot, playing in the cornfields surrounding their property.
