There is something about the Australian outback that makes me feel very settled and honest. The environment – all raw, harsh sun and fierce temperatures – also includes open homes that welcome strangers, and their curiosity. Bella and her siblings took me on an amazing adventure around the property in the middle of the day in drought conditions. There was no sadness in this adventure – only excitement to share what they learn from this very old land that is now my home.
