Yahir, waiting to live again, 2017

18 January 2017, Talbia Urban Refugee Camp, outskirts of Amman, Jordan. Yahir is one of 4.8 million Syrian refugees who have found relative safety in neighbouring countries. Most are children. With the war already in its fifth year, many now fear a future without dignity and identity. There is a fundamental similarity in each of their plights: each person is waiting to live again.
