National Photographic Portrait Prize 2013 Finalist
For the last 12 months I have been exploring the nostalgia of the circus. I feel that over the last 20 years or so, the circus has almost disappeared. As a child I remember the excitement of the Big Top. I have created this image of Harry, Phoebe, Alice and Max Pride in the hope that children will again enjoy live performance.
The National Photographic Portrait Prize exhibition is selected from a national field of entries that reflect the distinctive vision of Australia's aspiring and professional portrait photographers and the unique nature of their subjects.
