Reflection of youth, 2008

'Reflection of youth' is an image taken in July 2008 of my son Henderson. We were in Mount Gambier at the time, cleaning the house of a deceased friend of the family. We stayed in the house, and Henderson was quite unsettled by this. He is at that age on the edge of childhood and not quite a teenager, and this image captures his anxiety and youth. One night, we went around the house playing at taking photos and having a bit of fun to make him feel better. This is one of the shots, and I find it interesting in this picture that Henderson's reflection in the mirror appears to be facing the reverse of what it should.
