My Awesome Australian: Online exhibition

As beautiful as a sunset by Layla (12-15 years, VIC)

Painting
As beautiful as a sunset
I decided to paint my grandma, because she is a bright person full of joy and kindness, she always brightens up my mood whenever I feel stressed. Every time I see her I always want to express how appreciative I am to have her in my life, she gives up her own time and comes over every week to cook and takes care of me and my sister. I can see the hard work and effort she puts into her cooking, she has once told me that she was stressed because she couldn't get to home in time to cook for us and make us happy. So my grandma deserves to be painted and seen by others, acknowledging her for being one of the most special people in my life. My grandma has the most precious and caring heart which is what makes her so special. If I had to give her an award for something, I would give her 'the most hardworking' award, as she does so much for the family despite being a grandparent.
