My Awesome Australian: Online exhibition

Mama Mel by Stella (8-11 years, NSW)

Sculpture
Mama Mel
This sculpture is of my mum, Melissa. I was inspired by Picasso to make a sculptural portrait and create interesting shapes and patterns with her face. My mum has beautiful eyes and I wanted to emphasise this in the portrait. She is the most special person in my life, and makes me feel loved, protected and safe. I would give her the MVP award for Most Valuable Person in my life.
