My artwork, 'The Bus Station' has explored the theme 'Me and My Place' by looking at what I like doing in my leisure time.  Through this painting I have examined and simulated the style and composition of Australian artist Jeffrey Smart and my love for skateboarding in any place I can find.  This image reflects me because I spend a lot of my spare time riding my skateboard around my small coastal country town and riding in back roads and deserted places like the bus depot.  This makes me think of the big city where I used to live, where it was harder to find a quiet place than a loud and crowded one.  So that's why I picture myself skateboarding in a quiet, deserted place.
