Wrapped in the media, 2009

I am passionate about fashion, politics and photojournalism. My dress was created from fashion magazine pages to highlight my passion for fashion. The room in which I am posing was plastered with pages from magazine fashion shoots, symbolising the influence of the media on me and other people my age. I believe that everyone, including myself, adjusts themselves as models do in photo shoots, to fit in with other people. I am wound in film to convey the idea that people are wrapped in the media and judged on their appearance.
