I was inspired by the work of Kylie Ruszczynski and the themes and photographic processes of Surrealism. As a result, this body of work is based on my nightmares, dreams and fantasies. I worked in a traditional darkroom and used photograms and solarisation to blur, manipulate and reconstruct my face, fusing it with mechanical clock parts. I sought to create a cybernetic self from another time, place or world.
