This study began as an idea about the self image of people becoming older. I was particularly interested in why people are so uncomfortable with representations of themselves. This teacher posed for me under the condition that she hid all of her face. It was interesting to me that so many people still know who it was anyway. It begs the question: Is identity more than just the appearance of the face?
