‘I made this photograph during a visit to my home country, Belgium, in the summer of 2018. On a nightly walk through the countryside, my wife, Celia Hindmarsh, discovered this watchtower and climbed up to look out over the cornfields.’
Wouter Van de Voorde is a Belgian-born photographer based on Ngunnawal/Ngambri Country in Canberra. Using analogue processes, his work focuses on the quirks and nuances of Australian culture.
