Calling all fashionistas, fashion-resisters, fun lovers, fun makers and cool creators! Join Maxine Beneba Clarke as she reads her book Fashionista, leads us in craft activities and finishes in a flurry with a fashion face-off finale! All are welcome, all are unique, and all are celebrated in this seriously stylish story time!
We’ll be crafting amazing accessories so come prepared with:
- An A4 size piece of cardboard
- Pencils or textas
- Decorations like foil, cupcake wrappers, washi tape, stickers, magazines for collage, wrapping paper and glitter for a bit of bling!
- Scissors (remember to ask for help with these if you need it!)
- Elastic – about 30cm
- Sticky tape and/or glue
- Maxine’s template [pdf file] printed on paper/cardboard, or a favourite toy and piece of paper/cardboard big enough you can trace around
This program is Auslan interpreted and designed for ages 4-10 years accompanied by their grownup.
