Spring Festival

Find your (re)purpose

Get all sock ‘n’ soul at our free Spring Festival. Balinese puppeteers, The Super Funky Artists, will lead a creative workshop using recycled materials. There will be performance, music, tours and lots of fun activities throughout the day to inspire imagination.

For all ages and abilities

The Super Funky Artists

  • Create puppets with Balinese puppeteers.

Black Mountain String Band

  • Bop, boogie and draw to toe-tapping music.

Sock puppets

  • Bring your lonely or discarded sock(s) and make a puppet.

Fort (re)making

  • Using recycled cardboard boxes and masking tape build and rebuild a fort.

Performances and tours

  • Puppet performances by The Super Funky Artists, with opportunities to join in, at 12.00pm and 1.30pm.
  • Gallery adventures with the Sock Sprite at 12.30pm and 2.00pm.

Screenings

  • Screenings of the Disney Pixar film WALL-E (2008) at 10.30am and 2.30pm (98 minutes)
