Join Gallery educators Marina Neilson and Ellie Brotchie for a half-day teacher professional learning focused on creating connection and community in the classroom while developing students’ critical and creative thinking skills.

The session will introduce Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS), a transformative discussion-based method that uses art to teach thinking and language skills. Explore how VTS can be transferred to the classroom to facilitate conversations, develop students’ ability to share ideas, listen to others and see different perspectives. You will also investigate a range of other strategies to foster critical and creative thinking in the classroom.

Lunch will be provided. Please list details of dietary requirements at point of booking.

This program is suitable for educators from kindergarten to tertiary levels. Your attendance also includes a ‘teacher toolkit’ resource to support continued learning in your classroom.
