William Latimer (life dates unknown) was a portrait photographer who worked in Melbourne in the latter part of the nineteenth century. Examples of his work are held by the National Library of Australia and the State Library of Victoria. The National Portrait Gallery, London, holds over 100 examples of the work of Maull & Co., the third of four studios established by British photographer Henry Maull (1829–1914) between 1856 and 1879. Maull was a member of the Royal Photographic Society and was known for his portraits of noted individuals, many of which appeared as engravings in the Illustrated London News.
