Senior Gija woman Shirley Purdie’s series, including her works for So Fine, collectively form a complex self-portrait, made up of the varied experiences of someone who has lived a full life. They tell her story in relation to country, skin group and events past. Shirley’s daughter Blandina will talk about her mother’s epic narrative with Warmun Arts Centre manager Stephanie Rajalingam.

The talk will take place in the exhibition.
