Major New Sculpture Commission Unveiled

On Monday 26 October NPG Chief Patron Ms Thérèse Rein unveiled a major sculpture commission entitled Geo Face Distributor by Australian born, New York based artist James Angus. The sculpture is the final installment for the overall building design concept devised by National Portrait Gallery principal architect Richard Johnson from Johnson Pilton Walker.  The sculpture is a striking work reflective of the artist’s interest in how the visual forms of physics, biology and mathematics inform our perceptions of time, space, scale, mass and movement.
