2. Use of Content
You acknowledge that the site contains information, software, photographs, audio and video clips, graphics, links and other material (collectively, the "content") that are protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary rights of the National Portrait Gallery or third parties. All content on the site is copyrighted as a collective work of the National Portrait Gallery pursuant to applicable copyright law. You agree to comply with any additional copyright notices, information, or restrictions contained in any content available on or accessed through the site. Users of the site may use the content only for their personal, noncommercial use.

Unless otherwise stated, you are permitted (by way of a non-exclusive license) to make one copy of the whole or a part of any Commonwealth copyright works at this website for yourself or on behalf of another person, providing that you include in a prominent position the words 'reproduced with permission of the Australian Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts'. Permission is not granted to make a copy of on-line images on this site. Permission is not granted to make a copy of the whole or a part of the work where a charge is made for making and supplying that copy, unless the amount of the charge does not exceed the cost of making and supplying that copy.
