"Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or your self-confidence." Robert Frost

Tertiary

Educators and students involved in graduate and postgraduate courses can negotiate tertiary programs designed exclusively for their area of interest.

Education extension programs
include discussion tours, forums, studio workshops, study days, artists’ talks, previews, master classes and professional development workshops for educators. Some programs are fee paying.

Study days for students are designed for special interest groups and are offered during term and holidays. Programs are delivered by artists, curators and educators and include studio-focused sessions and art history.

Studio workshops focusing on art making for all education levels are available for small groups and can include drawing, painting, photography and digital storytelling.

Exhibition previews for educators are held throughout the year, including illustrated lectures, gallery talks, exhibition viewings and workshops.

Professional learning for educators will update your knowledge and skills and maintain networks through professional learning sessions. Museum educators, curators, artists, critics and historians explore key themes in portraiture by studying the Gallery’s collection and temporary exhibitions.

The study collection is available for viewing on request.
