Sarah Wynter
Sarah Wynter (b. 1973), actress, was born in Newcastle N.S.W., and moved to New York at the age of 17 to study acting. After small roles in the films Let It Be Me (1995) and Species 2 (1998), her appearance in the first episode of Sex and the City (1998) brought her to the attention of Hollywood casting agents. She then had a substantial part in Lost Souls (1999) with Winona Ryder and Ben Chaplin, before playing a Russian assassin in the Arnold Schwarzenegger blockbuster The 6th Day (2000). In 2001 she played the leading role of Alma Mahler in Bruce Beresford's Bride of the Wind , a film denied theatrical distribution after receiving a caning from the American critics. On the small screen, she had a major role in the second season of the hit TV series 24. She recently made news when U.S. clothing company The Gap signed her as a billboard model.
